Wesley is 7 months old now!

Crazy that so much time has already passed but, as of Friday Wesley has officially been here for 7 months! I can hardly believe how fast these last several months have passed by. We are so blessed to have him here with us as a part of our family!

Friday was also the day of his 6 month check up (we are about a month behind due to his late discharge from the hospital) but, he is now 14lbs 4oz and 25.5 inches long. He is gaining weight yet slowly so it's something that we need to keep a close eye on. Still now sure why his gain is so slow because boy can this kiddo eat!! Overall Wes still continues to amaze us every day. He is learning and growing each day and becoming very social and is now such a happy little guy!

At his last developmental visit (about a month ago) the drs feel that he is developmentally about 4 months of age which is a HUGE improvement from his last visit (at 3.5 months old he was evaluated to be at 1.5 months developmentally). He works so hard each and every day and we are very happy to seem him making strides in the right direction!

A Lot Of Changes

It's been roughly 6 months since my last update, they have been very difficult months for our family. I left off in September when we were in a place of excitement and joy, our big kiddos were starting off a new school year and we were antipicating the arrival of our new baby boy! Then our lives took drastic turn for the worse and things seemed to spiral out of control at a rapid rate. We are thankful for all the family and friends that have stood by our side through this time, the help with the kids, daily errands, meals and just "being there" in the moment supporting and praying for us! We have been very blessed.

Beth, Lexi, Madi and Evan all started the school year out strong, they have all excelled and continue to make us very proud of them! We are looking forward to finishing out the next few months and then having some down time as a family this summer!

We have also welcomed our sweet baby Wesley Grant into our family! All of our excitement turned to fear and uncertainty on September 20th when things went terribly wrong and we almost lost our little guy. He was born at 5:12am, was 8lbs 3oz and 20.5in long. Seemingly perfect from his outside appearance when you looked past all those wires and tubes that were keeping him alive. He definetely had a dramatic entrance into this world that we will never forget. It's been very bitter sweet. He is here with us, we love him to pieces but, worry endlessly about him. He definetely is a miracle! We are thankful everyday for the progress he has made. Wes is now 6 months old, he eats well, is working on his motor skills, ineracts amazingly well with his siblings and has come far beyond what anyone would have thought he would. We are looking forward to see what the future holds for him and are enjoying each day we have been blessed with.

We have a busy few months ahead of us and I will do my best to keep everyone updated through our chaos! :-)

It's that time of year again...

Today is the day!! We officially have a 1st, 3rd and 4th grader this year! Last week we stopped in at school to meet their teachers (who all seem wonderful) and drop off their school supplies and today they hopped on that big bus and headed off to what i'm hoping turns into a wonderful day for all of them!!! A few birthday's and a weekend of family fun....

On friday we celebrated Den's 35th birthday with a wonderful dinner at Chef's followed by some yummy cake!! Happy Birthday to my sweet hubby...I hope this is the beginning to another fantastic year together!

Saturday we surprised the kids with a ride on the Arcade & Attic Rail Road!! The girls had a great time and Evan was truly in his element! He just LOVES trains!! Here are a few photos of some of the fun we had! :-)

And yesterday, we had a great family day! Spent the morning at Fantasy Island with the kiddos and then had a great dinner at Cheesecake Factory! Dinner was awesome and just being together was even better!

Overall we had a pretty amazing weekend!

Our little man!!!

I've been rather anxious to meet our new lil guy and couldn't resist a sneak peek at him! So, Den and I decided to have a 3d/4d ultrasound done and take the girls with us to "meet" their little brother. It was so exciting to get an early peek at him...he looks so much like this big brother and sisters. Here are a few pics we were able to get!

A new beginning...

I know, as usual I'm a bit behind in my blogging so trying to play catch up the best I can!

July 8th we were able to celebrate with Christopher & Joy at their beautiful wedding! We welcome Joy and her family into ours with open arms and hearts! So, very happy for the both of you and your future together...

Bethany, Alexa and Madelyn were able to be a part of the ceremony as flower girls and were honored to do so! The excitement had been building for weeks and they did a great job! It was a beautiful day and one we will all remember forever...I know that Mom & Dad were there with us in spirit and are also rejoicing in our happiness!

June 2011 Dance Recital

Here is a few pictures from Wednesday nights dance recital, so proud of the girls and this group of kiddos as a whole, they ALL put in a lot of work and did a fantastic job!! They must have really enjoyed dancing this year since they are already asking about dancing again this fall! So glad that it was such a positive experience that they are gearing up for yet another season!!
